Reduction in manual effort
Reports standardized
THE CLIENT
A Los Angeles-based asset management firm with over $4 billion in annual revenue needed to replace a manual, Excel-heavy reporting process that was consuming significant staff time and limiting the firm’s ability to scale reporting across Public Credit funds.
THE FOUNDATION
The organization-maintained investment data across a data warehouse, Azure Databricks, and an accounting system, with OneStream used as the downstream reporting platform. Core datasets including positions, trial balance, transactions, and tax lots were available but required heavy manual preparation before they could be used for reporting.
THE CONSTRAINT
Reporting across approximately 45 reports relied on manual Excel workflows with no standardized transformation or validation layer. Monthly and quarterly close cycles required substantial effort, data quality was difficult to govern, and the process could not scale without adding headcount.
THE MULTIPLIER
Logic Pursuits built end-to-end data integration from source systems into the Azure Databricks Lakehouse, designed structured pipelines covering tax lots, trial balance, positions, and transactions, developed standardized enrichment views for OneStream consumption, and established a clear governance and delivery model across data, modeling, and source system teams.
WHAT CHANGED
Reporting moved from manual Excel-based preparation to an automated, standardized analytics environment. The organization could produce consistent, audit-ready outputs across all 45+ reports with a fraction of the prior effort and without scaling the team.
WHAT MULTIPLIED
Time Savings Approximately 900+ hours saved annually, with multi-FTE savings potential as the solution scales
60-70% reduction in manual effort through automation and standardization
30-40% improvement in monthly and quarterly close timelines
45+ reports standardized and scaled across funds with no additional headcount
