THE CLIENT
A Texas-based oil and gas company with approximately $5 billion in annual revenue sought to improve visibility into procurement compliance, vendor pricing discipline, and purchase order governance across its operations.
THE FOUNDATION
The organization maintained procurement, vendor, purchase order, and invoice data across multiple operational systems. These records contained the information needed for pricing oversight and compliance monitoring but were not connected or readily accessible for analysis.
THE CONSTRAINT
Without a consolidated view, manual effort was required to reconcile vendor, PO (Procurement Order), and invoice records across systems. Pricing outliers, retroactive PO creation, and missing approval workflows went largely undetected, creating governance gaps and unchecked spend.
THE MULTIPLIER
Logic Pursuits centralized vendor, PO, and invoice data into a unified SQL environment, built automated stored procedures for cleansing and transformation, developed anomaly detection logic to surface pricing deviations and compliance exceptions, and integrated outputs into Tableau dashboards for monitoring.
WHAT CHANGED
Procurement teams gained continuous visibility into vendor pricing behavior, PO compliance, and approval of workflows. What had been a largely manual, reactive process became an analytics-driven framework capable of identifying exceptions at scale.
