THE CLIENT

A Miami-based travel and hospitality company with over $9.4 billion in annual revenue needed to modernize its data infrastructure across a fleet of 30+ cruise ships to enable real-time operational analytics and reduce data replication lag that was limiting decision-making speed.

THE FOUNDATION

The organization maintained operational data across passenger and crew reservation systems, casino management systems, customer payment platforms, and custom operational applications across all fleets. This data contained the inputs needed for fleet-wide analytics but was fragmented across ship-side systems with no real-time replication to the shore-side data warehouse.

THE CONSTRAINT

Disjointed sea-based systems with no unified data management created data availability lags of hours to days across 30+ fleet operations. Historical data retrieval was inconsistent, cross-fleet analytics were not operationally feasible, and the lack of centralized governance created data privacy risks for sensitive passenger information.

THE MULTIPLIER

Logic Pursuits implemented STRIIM to continuously ingest and replicate 100% of critical operational data across fleets, migrated historical records from multiple sources into Snowflake to establish a single source of truth, deployed the solution across 30+ fleets with seamless onboard-to-onshore synchronization, designed a resilient ETL pipeline with zero critical outages during migration, and optimized STRIIM workflows to improve data processing speed across all units.

WHAT CHANGED

The organization moved from hours-long data replication cycles to near real-time streaming across its entire fleet. Fleet-wide operational analytics became operationally feasible, manual data handling was substantially reduced, and a next-generation analytics stack was established as the foundation for ongoing decision-making.

WHAT MULTIPLIED

Area Impact
Replication latency
Reduced from hours to under 5 minutes across 30+ fleets
Streaming efficiency
30-40% improvement, delivering the highest rate of return on STRIIM investment
Manual intervention
70% reduction through automated, resilient data pipelines
Data processing speed
Approximately 25% faster across all units after STRIIM workflow optimization
